Forms and surveys

Canadian alternatives to Google Forms

Google Forms: Google Forms does not offer storage in Canada. It is owned by a US company, so the US CLOUD Act can require it to produce data it controls, wherever that data is stored.

Tier 5: Data leaves Canada

Canadian-owned, data in Canada

Canadian-owned and data stored in Canada, but the servers belong to AWS, Microsoft or Google, or the vendor does not say whose servers they are.

  • Surveys, forms and online voting

    Stored in Canada?
    Yes
    Owner
OutSideSoft Solutions Inc. (Québec); SimpleSurvey is a division
    Servers run by
Microsoft Azure Canada · US company

Designated voting provider for Québec's professional orders. Canadian-owned, but runs on Microsoft (US) infrastructure.

If storage in Canada is enough

These are US-owned but can keep data in Canada. They meet most storage rules; they do not meet an ownership test.

  • SurveyMonkey surveys, Apply

    Stored in Canada?
    Yes, if you choose it
    Owner
SurveyMonkey Inc. (San Mateo, CA), owned by a consortium led by Symphony Technology Group (STG) since 2023
    Servers run by
SurveyMonkey cloud storage · US company

Some features (sentiment analysis, SMS collector, most integrations) are unavailable on Canadian storage; AI survey generation sends prompts to a US vendor.

Ranked by tier, not by quality: this site rates where data goes and who owns the company, not features or price. See all forms and surveys listings and the methodology.
